Australian made Queensland Maple and Tasmanian Myrtle Yarn Bowl. Approx 20cm x 10cm

Australian made Queensland Maple and Tasmanian Myrtle yarn bowl. The bowl has been made by glueing the two timbers together and turning it on my lathe. Once the overall shape of the bowl has been completed, a slot has been cut in its side for the yarn to pass through. It has been finished with Danish Oil and is approximately 20cm in diameter and 10cm deep.

Description

Australian made Queensland Maple and Tasmanian Myrtle yarn bowl.  The timbers come from opposite ends of the country.  Tasmanian Myrtle forms the top of the bowl, with the Queensland Maple at the bottom.  The two timbers are easily distinguishable from each other. The yarn passes through an opening cut in the side of the bowl.  Finished with Danish Oil the bowl is approximately 20cm in diameter and 10cm deep.
